STATEMENT of PURPOSE
The Purpose of this Association shall be to work for the betterment of the legal profession and the administration of justice: to take an active interest in governmental affairs; to stimulate a feeling of respect, esteem, and good fellowship among members of the profession; to maintain a high standard of ethics among the members of the Bar of Chattanooga; and to correlate its activities with those of the American Bar Association, the Tennessee Bar Association, and such other professional organizations as may appear appropriate.
Membership Dues
Regular membership dues:
$185.00 annually (Over 3 years in practice)
$160.00 annually (Under 3 years in practice)
New Bar Admittees - 1st Calendar Year Waived. (Calendar year ends December 31 of the year you are admitted to practice.)
Young Lawyers Division - $30.00 Opt-out option (To be a member of the YLD, you must first be a member of the CBA by paying either $160.00 or $185 Dues.)
Law Student Membership - open to any law student currently enrolled in a law school. $40.00 annually. Benefits limited to receiving weekly newsletter, participation in committees, attendance at CLE seminars at cost of $25 each. They are invited to attend social functions at variable cost.
Associate Membership - open to Paralegals and Legal Assistants. $65.00 annually. Benefits limited to receiving weekly newsletter and attendance at CLE seminars at cost of $25 each.
